Just a quick post from the Share Fair in Rome, a combined event being organised by the FAO, IFAD, Biodiversity International, CGIAR and the World Food Programme. The Fair is being held on 20-22 January at the FAO HQ.
It is really an event with a difference with a huge number of parallel session and booths in the Atrium of the FAO. At the booths, you get the chance to talk to a people involved in a wide range of different initiatives. For example, there is a discussion paper on FAO’s KM stratgey prepared for the Fair, plus lots and lots of other fascinating cases. I’ll report on them more another time.
I just came away froma great session on blogging by Nancy White, and am now going to catch with the session on information and knowledge management strategies by Geoff Parcell. IKM is in Booth 13 on Indigenous knowledge with an IFAD and an FAO network on this subject. They have made us very welcome.
I’ve already given away almost all of my business cards which must be a good sign although I kick myself for not bringing more!
